blood red shoes - melkweg - 031108

first on the xcerts, three scotts who enter the stage somewhat shy, but start move spasticly when hitting the first chord, so powerrock, with a bit too many rhythm changes, best part was the end of the last song, with a three piece drum solo, including one half of blood red shoes, and the roadie who was taking pictures for them all the time, as this was their last show with brs ...

then blood red shoes, only with two, but creating a huge wall of sound, with the songs still reaching us, thanks to their voices matching really well, the class-full guitar play and energetic drumming ... this time the oude zaal of the melkweg, a small but perfect venue for this young band ... the first 10 rows started mosh-pitting even before they started playing, so easy to get in front, where i wished i brought my camera, as frontlady laura looked like a fashion model on a catwalk thanks to the fan pointed in her direction ... three new songs, an old one (stitch me back, the first one they wrote), and prize winners of their debut, such as i wish i was someone better and adhd, the call-sign for some fans to show they have this condition and storm the stage ... great gig, great fun, great music

doesn't matter much / it is happening again / try harder / say something say anything / new song / boring by the sea / forgive nothing / count me out / this is not for you / you bring me down / i wish i was someone better // stitch me back / adhd
