how a photo can be both amazing and stomach-turning ... both 'de standaard' and 'de morgen' published it today in an article about the number of death penalties in 2008 by amnesty international, and good news, that number is slightly decreasing ... not that easy to find the picture (already taken in 2007), newspapers should besides the news agency also mention the photographer's name ...

only 2 people on stage, john on big piano, keyboard and guitar (in that sequence) and dustin boyer on guitar (and occasional backing), his shoes were a bit off, but his guitarplay was certainly on, vivid and varied ... the two of them were more entertaining than lots of full band groups ... the first songs (on big piano) were already the best (over her head!!), while the others weren't bad at all, just a different sound (at the end two times acoustic guitar) ... he should've returned to that piano to play some more ... favorite was paris 1919 (keyboard then), stronger than below, thanks to the only 2 people on stage ... a song from 1973 ... so much more to discover ...

in more words: new show, without old work (nothing we recognized), all new songs/experiments, and a (modern) dancer and dancing of the zita band members (eva !), which resulted in a fascinating mix ... last song after i'm gone (something stef shouldn't consider yet), no bis unfortunately, in spite of the long (and well deserved) applause ...
particular moment: the piano jump, editor tom smith can already start practicing ...
