arctic monkeys - lotto arena - 031109

not my favorite venue, but one of my favorite bands, so here we are .. starting magnificent with lots of smoke, yellowish back-light .. six songs in a row, quite a difference to the slow pp-set .. then a small break and alex going reeeeady and looking good on the dance floor .. a bit further in the set 'are you enjoying? we're gonna slow down the pace though' and propelling into crying lightning, and we all going like we know that little game ... again a bit further some tuning and a quick stroke on his guitar and 'you know what that sound means', indeed, he's a scumbag, don't you know .. nice gig, well balanced between new and old songs, favorites were strangely all new songs, like pretty visitors with alex crooning, dangerous animals with alex once so into his guitarplay forgetting to sing along with d .. a .. n and so on, and the jeweler's hands, with amazing drumming, ten times more powerful than on cd .. only the confetti at the end of secret door didn't fit, wonder who came up with that (i repeat, only the flaming lips and sigur ros come away with it) ..

dance little liar / brianstorm / this house is a circus / still take you home / i bet you look good on the dancefloor / dangerous animals / the view from the afternoon / sketchead / my propeller / if you were there, beware / crying lightning / pretty visitors / cornerstone / do me a favour / the jeweller's hands / when the sun goes down / secret door // fluorescent adolescent / 505
